Lovely morning is when you don’t have to wake up early and drag yourself to go to work. It’s also when you can eat some nice food for breakfast. Even more if you are dining it together with your loved ones.

I went for dim sum breakfast with parents the other day. Business was such a brisk, we had to wait and search for an empty table at Asia Cafe, even during weekdays!!!

All tasted quite nice and at a reasonable price. But we purposely asked the tau keh how much he increased the prices, since everything from flour to oil to gas has gone up. He mentioned certain types increased 10-20 cents each. He also said the price for chrysanthemums imported from China has gone up from RM100++ to RM400++ (per box of dunno how many kgs). Such a price hike!!!

Chrysanthemums were cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC. An ancient Chinese city was named Ju-Xian, meaning "chrysanthemum city". The flower was introduced into Japan probably in the 8th century AD, and the Emperor adopted the flower as his official seal. There is a "Festival of Happiness" in Japan that celebrates the flower.

The flower was brought to Europe in the 17th century. Linnaeus named it from the Greek prefix chrys-, which means golden (the colour of the original flowers), and -anthemon, meaning flower.

Anyway, I snapped some photos of the view outside the cafe.

Zoomed about 5X. It was a misty morning and the clouds covered the top hill (part of Penang Hill)

Anyone still remember this clock located on the hill? Or you’ve never seen it before?

p/s- will be off to Klang for the weekend with Jc. weeeee…..
