Shimaya Japanese Restaurant
I went to this Japanese restaurant twice and find the food to be quite nice and big portion. (located in QB mall, on the lower ground, nearby the jusco foodcourt)

This time I ordered the Chicken Teppanyaki set while my lunch-mate ordered Kimchee Nabe set.

Chicken Teppanyaki set, RM16.90 Kimchee Nabe set, RM 17.90

My main dish consist of chicken cubes stir-fried with japanese sauce, 2 pieces of big prawns and lots of vegetables (cabbage, carrots, Enokitake mushrooms, spring onions). The sauce was salty but yummy!!

The Kimchee set came in a claypot, filled to the max with various ingredients such as vegetables, fish meat, squids, chicken meat and prawns. Funny thing about the soup is although it looks hot and spicy, it came out to be sweet and sour-ish. First taste feels weird but later on it’s quite pleasing enough that my lunch-mate drank up almost all of the soup!!

Tsuruya Japanese Restaurant
Yesterday I went for lunch at this restaurant. It looked very high-class from outside and when we walked in, the elegance and uniqueness of the interior design made me awestruck and very regretful. Why?? Because I didn’t have my CAMERA with me!!!! But if I did have my camera, I think I would be snapping non-stop instead of eating. Haha.

The food came out to be in big portion and very nice!! Price-wise, certain sets are more expensive (eg. bento sets are around RM30+) but for budget people like me, there’s also lunch/dinner sets priced around RM16-20…so still OK right??? We had a pleasent surprise when our bill came. They gave a 10% discount off!! We then realised they were having a promotion on Every Mondays and Tuesdays (10% off from total bill). I don’t know when the promo is gonna end though, but they hang the banner in front of the shop. So take a look if you pass by!! Oh yea…it’s in i-Avenue, just few doors away from the JPJ office :)

I’m definately going to go there again to *snap* *snap*. Hehehehehe….

*will post about sakae sushi next time…gotta run!!
