Hidden deep inside Tanjung Bungah is this reastaurant cum bistro, Summer Garden. It’s a corner house renovated into a cozy and nice place to have wine and dine or for those who do not take alcohol, there a variety of different cuisines to choose from.

Over here, they serve local, Western and Japanese dishes. Local food like nasi lemak, curry mee, etc. is only served during lunch though.

First up was cream of mushroom. Not the best I’ve tasted but at least it’s up to standard. (Mouse over the photo for more details)

We then each ordered an individual meal.

Fish and Chips. The salad at the side was nice. They added some green dressing on top and although it looked funny, it taste good. I wonder what it’s made from. Overall this is a normal dish but with an overpriced tag. (I guess that’s the usual price tags in restaurants/bistros)

Some of the other food we ordered.

Sirloin Steak. Did not tried it but the portion came out quite small.

Katsujyu.  I was wondering how can their Japanese food be compared with those Japanese restaurants but this dish came out quite like the ones you can find in other Japanese food outlets.

And finally, Spaghetti Carbonara. It wasn’t creamy enough but they were not stingy with the ingredients

Verdict? I would say it’s a nice place to enjoy a drink and a quiet place to chit-chat. Food-wise, Some are good while others could have been better. But this place is more of an above average restaurant, so the price tag is slightly higher.

If you are around in Tanjung Bungah and wondering where to go for a cozy and quiet dinner, you can try it out.
