Fancy some dim sum during the hot afternoon??

Corner Club Restaurant located at Gurney Drive is currently offering 50% off promotion for their dim sum dishes at Happy Hour (From 3pm - 5pm). Other than dim sum, they have local delicacies too like assam laksa and ais kachang.

Their specialty are "chu char" dishes and also some bento style but Chinese and Taiwanese food.

The restaurant itself is not very spacious. I’m not sure if they have private rooms but from the place where we were seated, there’s only about 18-20 tables.

These are the people who are waiting till the clock strikes 3pm to start their dim sum eating frenzy!

The restaurant was quiet till almost 3pm, where flocks of patrons starts coming in to have high tea.

The dim sum during Happy Hour is really worth it. Each plate like siu mai and har kao, only cost about RM 1.50 after the price slash. The portion/size is bigger than what you would find in coffeeshop dim sum.

One thing really good was the "pei tan chok" (century egg porridge)

It is so smooth that you can hardly taste any grain of rice.

Just look at the smoothness. Looks like soup but taste like porridge! Very fragrant too. Perfect!!

We tried the assam laksa as well. It’s only RM 1 per bowl (very small bowl, same size as the ais kachang bowl). It not bad, just that for the price we were paying, the ingredients are very little. But the soup packs quite a punch too!

And to cool it off, we ended the high tea with ais kachang. You can opt to have chinese tea too but it’s quite expensive as they charge per head. The last time my parents went there, they charge RM 5 per person for tea. And that’s already RM 20 for drinks for four of them!! So this round, we feel having ais kachang is more worth it.

At RM 1 per bowl, there’s nothing fancy about it. Just the usual corn, red beans and leong fun (cincau)

As you pick your dim sum from the trolley, the waitress will tick the price on your card. Prices shown on the card are before discount. So those RM 3 dim sum are actually RM 1.50 only during Happy Hour.

There’s ample parking space just outside the big bungalow where the restaurant is. Parking ticket is RM 3 but after having your meal, RM2 will be refunded when you pay your bills.

I’m not sure if reservations are allowed during Happy Hour but if you have more enquiries,

They do have some promotion for course/set meals too for dinner. If I’m not mistaken, the last time I saw, there was a promo at RM 45 (for 3-4 pax) for 3-4 dishes and a soup. But that was quite some time ago.
