Buzzing with FOOD

Food, Special day, Inner thoughts, Reflection, EventApril 7, 2009 9:18 pm

This post is specially dedicated to all those nice people who have spent some time celebrating with me more than a fortnight ago. My deepest gratitude goes to you for making that particular day memorable for me. It has been a long time since I last had a big celebration.

(taken with my camera. This is what happens when you don’t adjust the white balance to align with the location lighting)

Packaging. Lovely box isn’t it?

Chocolate Cake from another group of friends. Thank You!

A specially-made cake by someone (you can never guess what flavour it is. Haha). Thank you too!

Had another feast too, but virtually. You might be thinking how? They are in different parts of the world, namely UK and Aust and they were so kind to forego their beauty sleep and wait till our morning here to wish me and have a "webfeast" which includes lamingtons, chocolate cake with lots of cream and strawberries, roti canai, spring rolls, poh piah and even hor fun!!!

Haha it was real fun….imagination that is! Gotta have a powerful imagination if you plan to try that out. But the underline is that there are really people who cared and are willing enough to go to a certain extend to make someone’s day a much brighter one!

And my solitary gift of the year (and many more quiet years earlier)….. tadaaa

I’m not gonna bore you with how it looked but one cute label written on the box is…

Thanks a million to the sender. You know who you are. You have always lived up to the tagline of "a friend in need, is a friend indeed". And I hope I can be that sort of friend to you too! *Hugs*

It has been a wonderful start for the first quarter of the year, thanks to all the messages and cakes.

Looking forward to next year as someone promised to take me to a 5-star seafood buffet!!!! Hahahaha

~Cheers~

I’m back but exhausted, not with the trip but the added "drama" that happened to our group on the way back from the trip. And luckily I just came back in time on Sunday so that I can go to work the next day. Initially I thought I would be back on Wednesday and at least have the weekend to rest.

Anyhow, I’m just glad to be back…and able to afford a smile like the thingy in the photo below. The joy and contentment is overwhelming in me now and I believe it’s in everyone’s heart too for those of us who have taken this journey!!

Thanks for those who wished me for a safe trip. Yes, it was a blessing that my trip turned out to be safe and sound.

p/s - will slowly warm up my blogging engine..so I beg for your patients and thank you for your visits!! :)

**this post below was initially an old post which I wrote long ago but left it in the draft section with no intention when to post it **

I LOVE THIS CUTIE SMILEY THINGY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spotted this shop in MidValley The Gardens not long ago and even went in to get one…but with the price, I thought I should save the $$ instead. This is something I want instead of need….so better for me to control my craving and spend wisely.

There’s so many different versions and colours available in this shop….Certain colour are nicer than others…don’t you think so?

I just smile and grin everytime I see this cutie shaking its head, hands, body or legs. Oh dear..hope people don’t think I’m a weirdo.

Just a short note…

Yesterday was this blog’s one year in existence. Yeah it’s one year old already, but not much significant accomplishment though.

When I started posting, it was just a corner to let me write a little bit of what I enjoy doing in my past time.It then turn out to be more focused on food photography (since I love taking photos and since we eat like so many meals a day) and from there, I got to know a friendly group of people who blogs about food as well. Thank you for your presence and comments!!

At the beginning, I churn out posts like every alternate days!! The novelty has since died off due to more work commitments and other responsibilities. But I hope I will continue to post about my traveling experiences, some readings come across and also not to forget, the lovely food that we can find here in this Island. Postings might slow down to like maybe one or two per week but the appreciative readers and precious comments I receive will spur me on to write more!!

So, that’s it. Any wishes to this blog??? hehehe

Would like to thank CK Lam@What2See for this lovely award.

Although I’m only into blogging for a short period of time, I’ve got to know some really friendly and nice people in the blogsphere who are kind enough to visit my blog and also leave some comments on the post I made. It’s a real motivation to continue writing when we know there are people who read about the postings or just drop by to say "Hi".

Thanks to you who are here reading this and please do share some comments with me so that I can say thank you for your "virtual-presence" to this blog. Thanks for the friendship!

Some friends mentioned that I put more interest in taking food photos more than the people or surroundings. Well, I do admit so, partly because food can become so interesting with different method applied in making it. And it is also a way of uniting people…Family or friends usually come together for a meal and from there it’s where the bonding grows stronger!!!

So please pardon me if most of my postings are on food…especially when we are living in a food paradise, Penang. :P

This award also goes out to everyone who visit this humble blog! Cheers!!

Yes…back from holiday and as usual, lazy to start working again. Wish there’s a Rewind button somewhere around….

Too many photos (still hibernating in the camera) to sort and some other work commitments is the reason there’s lack of posting…
So please do come back often, will start my "blogging engine" again once my job transition goes smoothly..

Cheers to all
